Tammy DeCaro
Hello, thank you for stopping by! I am a SW Florida mixed media artist inspired by color, texture, and emotion that art can bring to the viewer. For me, art is a tactile experience and I try to bring elements to my art that can be touched as well as viewed.
My background has been a roller coaster of start/stop art learning first with wheel-throwing clay, then fused glass and jewelry, and now mixed media pieces that combine many of those skills together for wall art as well as functional art pieces. I also teach art! Inquire about fluid art abstract as well as traditional brush classes in the Naples area.
inspiration
I'm inspired by texture, color, and the way light interacts with colors. Living in south Florida, nature plays an important role in my art and inspires many of my beach themed color palettes.
Techniques
Fluid art has had an influence in my techniques as well as abstract resin painting. I enjoy layering acrylics, pigments, resin, glass, texture mediums and real sand/shells to achieve interest in my artwork.
